Citrus County Schools

The Citrus County Education Foundation brightened the holidays for CHS staff with awards totaling over $5,000. These awards recognize staff accomplishments at this year's CCEF fundraising events, including a first-place finish in the Dragon Boat Race, a high-earning basket donated to the Foundation Fest silent auction, and participation in the Foundation Fest lip sync battle.

CHS culinary students and their instructor, Chef Randy Garcia, participated in the first annual Holiday Baking Showdown to showcase their delicious creations, winning first place in the Quick Bread category.

CHS staff gathered in the café to enjoy a holiday luncheon, courtesy of the CHS administration team. During the celebration, winning classrooms for the annual CHS Holiday Door Decorating Contest were announced. Top prizes went to Mrs. Melanie Foy, Mrs. Lisa Denny, Mrs. Kristin Hollingsworth, and Mrs. Heather McLeod.
