Full-Time


  • Students are enrolled in six virtual courses
  • Citrus eSchool students must meet the following criteria:
    • Complete prior year's classes (grades 1-12)
    • 3 or higher on state assessments (grades 1-12)
    • On track to graduate within 4 years of high school coursework
  • Students are required to participate in state & district-wide testing at the eSchool learning center in Inverness
  • Students are eligible to use a district-issued iPad
  • Students follow the Citrus County School District calendar

Part-Time


  • Students request one or more virtual courses from Citrus eSchool
  • Students can be enrolled in local public, charter, or private schools
  • Students must start and completecourses during the district school year
  • FLVS® Flex courses may be taken during the summer
  • Requests will be approved or denied through the brick & mortar counselors
  • Student progress will be monitored by counselors and Citrus eSchool

Home Education
through Citrus eSchool (FLVS®)


  • Students have the option to choose an online learning curriculum through Citrus eSchool (FLVS®)
  • Students can request one or more virtual courses from Citrus eSchool
  • FLVS® Flex courses may be taken during the summer 
  • Local teacher support for students based on availability.
  • Students are not required to take state assessments but may participate in testing for graduation requirements
  • Services on a student's IEP are available through the student's zoned school
