Volunteers and Chaperones

Volunteer & Chaperone Process

Thank you for your interest in supporting our schools as a volunteer, community coach or chaperone.  To ensure the safety of our students and staff, all individuals must complete the following process before participating in school activities.

 

Step 1Submit Intent Application & Pay Fee

 

Step 2Administrator Authorization

  • The Safe Schools Department will request authorization from the school administrator at the location where you wish to volunteer or chaperone.

 

Step 3Background Screening Application

  • Once authorization is granted, you will be contacted with instructions to complete the full application and background screening through our vendor, Navigate360.

 

Step 4Review & Approval

  • The Safe Schools Department will review the background screening results and determine whether your participation will be approved or denied.
  • All approvals and denials will be communicated.

 

Step 5: (VOLUNTEERS ONLY): Training & Badge Distribution

If approved as a volunteer, you will be required to :

  • Complete volunteer training
  • Obtain an official volunteer badge to be worn while volunteering on a campus.
