Our Mission Statement

Within our four strong walls at PGE, we strive together, as companions, to nurture excellence, celebrate the worth of each person, foster respect for one another, and promote never-ending learning.

Principal Hermann

Welcome to Pleasant Grove Elementary. My name is Rob Hermann and I am the Principal. I have been working with the amazing students in Citrus County for over 25 years. I am so grateful to be entrusted with the responsibility to lead and serve the wonderful community here at Pleasant Grove. It is our mission here to strive together as companions, to nurture excellence, celebrate the worth of each person foster respect for one another, and promote never-ending learning within the four strong walls of our cherished. Together, we are committed to help all students grow and learn new things. I love working with our staff, students, and parents to shape the future of our young students.

As a father of two daughters and the husband of a former teacher, I know that there is a very close connection between the experiences of our students at school, within their homes, and amongst each other in our community. I believe it is our job to help our students make strong connections between these relationships so they can grow to have a positive connection to their futures. As a former coach, I know that each individual adult in a child’s life can help them realize their potential and understand their personal worth. We know that high expectations with high levels of support and encouragement can help everyone of us reach heights once thought impossible. Academic rigor and grit build great levels of confidence, but it takes a positive attitude to see this unfold. I believe that reinforcing a culture of this mindset along with great curriculum and resources are some of the key ingredients for PGE’s amazing culture of community and success. It is an honor to be a part of this community and to continue to help each of our Stars rise.
