A Game Changer for Health Careers in Citrus

At Tuesday’s School Board meeting, we celebrated a groundbreaking new partnership between TGH Crystal River and the Academy of Health Careers at CRHS at Crystal River High School!
With a unanimous vote, your Citrus County School Board approved a three-year, $300,000+ title partnership that will elevate health sciences education and create new career pathways for our students.
This includes:
- $150,000 in direct support through the Citrus County Education Foundation
- $150,000 in in-kind support—clinical tools, mentorships, site visits, and more!
- Support from one of Florida’s top academic medical centers, TGH Crystal River
From future nurses and dental assistants to vet techs and EMTs, this partnership is paving the way for students to explore real-world careers—right here at home.
A huge THANK YOU to TGH President & CEO John Couris, Linda Stockton, Jennifer Siem, and our very own Superintendent Hebert; Director Darrick Buettner; CTE Director, Debra Stanley; CCEF Executive Director, Shaunda Burdette and from CRHS - Principal Phill McLeod, and Assistant Principal Stacie Lewis for making this vision a reality.
