Welcome!

We are so happy you have chosen to dine with us. Here is some information regarding our Food and Nutrition Services Department:

  • Our menus have been developed with our students in mind.
  • All entrées have been student tested for acceptability.
  • For an entrée to be placed on our menus, there must be a 75% approval rating from our students.
  • All of our menus are analyzed by our Dietitian to meet USDA Nutrient Guideline standards.
  • Our Dietitian takes great care in ensuring students with food allergies are provided with safe food choices.
  • Our Digital Menu software, Nutrislice, is accessible on our webpage for parents and students to access information on menu options, allergens, and nutrient content.
  • All á la carte items must meet Smart Snack Guidelines.
  • Our department serves approximately 1,600,000 student lunches and 700,000 student breakfasts annually.
  • Our department is federally funded by USDA and is totally self-supportive. This means no General Fund dollars are used to help run our department.
  • All our Food Service Managers and Assistant Managers are Servsafe Certified by the National Restaurant Association.
  • All Food Service Employees receive 8 hours of Continuous Training annually.
  • Our department partners with the Citrus County Food Bank by donating unopened/non-consumed food and beverage items to feed those in need in Citrus County.

Our employees are much like our teachers/educators. They help to educate children on proper nutrition, customer service, good hygiene, decision-making, good manners, number recall, kindness, caring, consideration for others, and how to smile.

These hard-working individuals give from the heart. Their love and dedication towards Fueling the Future is priceless. They are difference makers and caretakers. We are so fortunate to have these women and men working for our department. They help us to live by our motto “ONE Team, ONE goal, NO Limits”.
