The Citrus County School District has been recognized by the Florida Department of Education for 2018-2020 as a Florida Healthy School District, which are districts that have made a high level commitment to meeting the health needs of students and staff in order to remove barriers to learning and maximize district resources.

Resiliency Education: Civic and Character Education and Life Skills Education, Substance Use and Abuse, and Child Trafficking Prevention Education

Per State Board of Education Rule, school districts must annually submit a plan documenting how instruction in Resiliency Education, Substance Use and Abuse, and Child Trafficking Prevention Education will be delivered to students. Stakeholders have access to the district plan on the Florida Department of Education Required Instruction Reporting Portal.
